This year’s Maritime Festival will also include a foot ferry and a land train to transport you around the Maritime site! The ride is free but please note we have a limited capacity.
Buckle up your boots and find your sea legs for a weekend of fun on the Waterfront!

We will be lighting up the sky on Saturday 18th with this brilliant display once again, with a show so dazzling you might even need sunglasses! Evening Fireworks Display at 9.45pm.
The Maritime fun fair returns to our pitcturesque Waterfront, and there’s fun for the young and young at heart alike!
Ipswich Maritime Trust
Ipswich Maritime Trust are pulling out all the rope this year. Join us to learn some key maritime skills that sailors and pirates would have used.
Fully Licensed Bar
We’ll be serving a quality selection of real ales as well as all the traditional beers, wines, spirits, ciders and soft drinks. Cheers!
Jack Sparrow Lookalike
Matt Harris is Maritime’s own Capitan Jack Sparrow, setting sail to Ipswich where it is his intention to commandeer a ship, pick up a crew, raid, pillage, plunder and otherwise pilfer his weasley black guts out. Savy?
Get your selfie game on and pose with our giant inflatables. We’ve got an octopus and a sharks head! We can’t wait to see your pictures. Use the hashtag #IpswichMaritime
Come along to the Waterfront Bistro! All weekend we will have an outside bar and we will serving food outside.
Whether you’re getting into the Maritime Festival spirit or sampling the wares of our local traders, there’s something for everyone.
Pirates and Sailors
Yo-ho-ho! Get you best buccaneer gear on and join in the fun as a salty sailor or darstadly pirate! We’re under siege! The festival will see pirate crews, Georgian style sailors and plenty of Georgian craft activities and workshops.
Ships and Vessels
It wouldn’t be a Maritime Festival without some ships and vessels! We will keep you posted as to which vessels will be making the journey to Ipswich.
We have two whole days of live acts performing on our Waterfront! Line-up to be announced.
There are several Ipswich Borough Council car parks available throughout the town centre. You can find a full list here.
