Ipswich Maritime Festival
in association with Isaacs On The Quay
The Ipswich Maritime Festival in association with Isaacs On The Quay returns with a splash in August, with even more on the schedule for our celebrations of all thing nautical!
We have a whole weekend of live entertainment on our stage, plus performers displaying their amazing skills on our streets, historical reenactments, and a fireworks display to dazzle you on the Saturday night.
This year’s Maritime Festival will also include a foot ferry to transport you around the Maritime site! The ride is free but please note we have a limited capacity. The foot ferry has kindly been sponsored by Isaacs on the Quay.
Buckle up your boots and find your sea legs for a weekend of fun on the Waterfront!
Pirate & Sailor Costumes
Yo-ho-ho! Get you best buckaneer gear on and join in the fun of Maritime as a salty sailor or darstadly pirate!
Enjoy sumptuous food from around the world in our market or sweet treats from our stalls – there’s something to everyone’s taste!
We will be lighting up the sky on Saturday 18th with this brilliant display once again, with a show so dazzling you might even need sunglasses! Day Fireworks at 3pm. Evening Fireworks Display at 9.45pm.
The Maritime fun fair returns to our pitcturesque Waterfront, and there’s fun for the young and young at heart alike!
Two Days of Live Entertainment
Never a dull moment at Ipswich Maritime when we have two whole days of live acts performing on our Waterfront!
Fully Licensed Bar
We’ll be serving a quality selection of real ales as well as all the traditional beers, wines, spirits, ciders and soft drinks. Cheers!
Be dazzled by the talents of our remarkable acts who will be making this Maritime Festival one to remember!
Kids Crafts from Quay Place
Make cork boats, the Ipswich seahorse, model clay fish and even your own flotilla flags! Quay Place has fun for kids aged 2-10 and a cafe waiting for you.
We’re under seige! The festival will see longships arrive laden with soliders and spears, but thankfully it’s all fun… and historically accurate!
Wether you’re getting into the Maritime Festival spirit or sampling the wares of our local traders, there’s something for everyone.
Flotilla will be filling the Ipswich Waterfront for Maritime Festival, so you’ll be able to see some of the most magnificent ships!
Captain Jack Sparrow Lookalike
Matt Harris is Maritime’s own Capitan Jack Sparrow, setting sail to Ipswich where it is his intention to commandeer a ship, pick up a crew, raid, pillage, plunder and otherwise pilfer his weasley black guts out. Savy?
There are several Ipswich Borough Council car parks available throughout the town centre. You can find a full list here.
Thank you to our sponsors
Our headline sponsor, Isaacs on the Quay, has something for everyone.
There are four bars, a Coffee Tavern, wide-ranging menu and fantastic outdoor seating area, enabling customers to enjoy views across the Ipswich Waterfront.
They host live music every Sunday between March and October, and customers can also enjoy a variety of live sport shown across the many HD screens within the venue.
