The Big Jubilee Lunch
Sunday 5 June
A Jubilee celebration wouldn’t be complete without a street party! The Big Jubilee Lunch street party event will be held on the Cornhill, with street party décor and food. A large screen will provide a montage of images from across the Queen’s reign with a focus on Her Majesty’s visits to Ipswich and will also show The Platinum Jubilee Pageant live from London, and finish with a showing of highlights from the previous night’s concert.
If you want to organise your own celebration and hold a Big Jubilee Lunch Street Party, Ipswich Borough Council can help. The Council will be producing an online information pack that will help you organise small community events, give national guidance and link to schemes and to the simplified process for road closures.
